     So, yeah I haven't updated the APPEARANCES page in... well, over a year. Honestly, I just haven't been taking pictures at the cons (busy trying t sell as many books as possible and all that jazz). So, in an attempt to make up for that, here are a few from Baltimore this year. It was a good con, saw some friends we haven't seen in a while. Met some new fellow creators that were great guys. Threatened to raise hell at the convention center if they didn't clear up some space for us to get in and out of the aisle... long story. Any way, a good time was had by all. Books and sketches were sold, fans were made, drinks were drank.
 

	To the left you can see me looking as approachable as I always do. Shawn is hiding behind me doing sketches. To the right you can see our location. Baltimore = Bathrooms every year for us. At the end of the aisle is Tony Castillo's ridiculously huge setup.
	Here is resident LSS all-star artist Shawn Wagner presenting a GOON pin-up to incredible creator Eric Powell. Eric was a great guy, very gracious to Shawn and really seemed to appreciate the gift. Shawn was lucky enough to catch Eric just before he left for the day. To the right is a close up of the piece. Nice, huh?
And, of course, what convention appearance would be complete with a visit from our buddies at PLB Comics? There I was, minding my own business, doing a Two Face sketch for a fan, when all of the sudde here comes the Fall ready to put a cap in my sorry ass! Meanwhile Josh's lovely wife Mel does NOTHING to help me. And I thought she liked me! Luckily Shawn is right behind me, ready to jump in and save me. Or laugh at me as I writhe in agony. Jamie however is completely oblivious as he sits doing Mumblepuss sketches. Sheesh, some friends, huh?

Either way it was a good time and a successful con for us. We look forward t attending again next year. Hope to see you there.

The 'Slingers will be appearing at The Ultimate Allentown Comic Con on October 13th. Any and all in the area who want to stop by and say 'Hi' are welcome. We'll be there selling books, signing autographs, and doing sketches. We hope to see you there.

Who are those 2 dangerously sexy men you ask?

Why, those are the 'Slingers of course!

Jason on the left, Shawn on the right as the con opens the doors to the masses Saturday morning. You can just make out the sweet piece f artwork Shawn did for the con give-away (a tradition at each con we attend, so make sure to stop by and sign up for the drawing!) which snagged John Romita Sr's eye and pulled him over to our booth. (before you bother asking, NO I did not get a picture of us with JR SR, YES I am kicking myself for this, and NO it will NOT happen again - my apologies to Shawn for going all fanboy and forgetting that we had 5 cameras at our booth. ugh.)

 

 

People ask me, "What do Shawn "Kwip" Williams and Jamie "Dr Sexy" Fickes do at the n3rdcast booth while you and Shawn Wagner are busy trying to sell books?"

Well here's a shot of Jamie working the booth full-tilt, hard core style, while Shawns... chasing after some scantily clad con hottie, probably.

(Jamie would like you all to know that he is NOT picking his nose. He's just smelling his finger. Yep, that makes me more comfortable.)

 

 

 

Oh, there's Shawn being fawned over by those luscious PLB Comics Babes... Yeah, they can barely contain themselves. Thank the stars Josh came over and dragged them, kicking and screaming, away from the n3rdcast table. Yep, that's what happened. I'm certain of it!

 

 

 

Awright, fine. Once security had tranqued Shawn and unceremoniously dumped him underneath his table, the PLBabes were kind enough to pose for a photo. Having honeys like these at your booth certainly helps build traffic. Next year, we're making sure we're right next to our buddies at PLB!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This little lovely came to our booth from the Ukraine, via the UK! I had to get a pic with her (and her shirt) to show the wife. She will be wearing one of these the next time we get a weekend away... along with the Spider-Man garter belt she wore at our wedding. Sorry, got myself sidetracked there.

Show Recap: 2007 Baltimore Comic Con                                                    Posted 09/09/2007

     Well we survived the Baltimore Comic Con! A successful show, we sold a respectable amount of books, saw some old friends and made some new ones. It was great to see the guys (and gals) from PLB Comics again. These guys are great, check out (and buy) their book. We really hope to hook up with these fine folks at future shows and do some cross-promoting.

     We also saw Sean McManus again. If you've listened to the podcast (www.neenerneener.net) you know we all love his book The Last Sin of Mark Grimm. A great read. Check it out, you'll thank us later.

     HIGHLIGHT OF THE CON: So Shawn and I are standing at our table Sunday morning knocking the cobwebs from our brains, when I see an older gentleman and his wife walking up our aisle. The gentleman spots Shawn's piece of original artwork from across the aisle, promptly changes course and makes a bee-line for our table. We greet him and his wife, exchange niceties when I look down at his name badge... John Romita Sr! He really like Shawn's illustration and spoke to us a few minutes before heading off to the Hero Initiative booth. We were both awe-struck and on cloud nine. Then we realized we didn't get a picture with him! D'oh! Ah well, it was still an incredible moment and I don't think Shawn cared if we sold another book. Thank you Mr. Romita, you made our weekend!

     LSS will be appearing at the Baltimore Comic Con June 8 -9, 2007. We will be selling copies of LeadSlingerStudios Presents #1 (Baltimore Comic Con Variant Edition) as well as the #0 issue of our new LSS Primer book. We will also be doing sketches and giving away original artwork. We look forward to meeting fans and making new friends. Stop by and say hello.
